America is a capitalist country. Capitalism is an economic system in which a government allows businesses and citizens the right to negotiate the prices of products, services, and labor, and the freedom to own capital. Capital is money or productive property available to produce more money, products or services.
As soon as you are born into “Capitalist America” you have needs that must be met in order to survive. The basic needs to assure your survival are food, clothing and housing. Since you cannot yet take care of yourself, your parents must pay for those needs over the first eighteen years of your life.
During those eighteen years you are expected to grow and attend a government school that will teach you how to participate or play the “Game of American Capitalism.” You will be taught how to read, write and perform mathematical calculations so that you can successfully interact with other people who are also competing against you as players in this game. Once you graduate from a government approved high school, you will receive a certificate of diploma that states you have been successfully trained on the rules and can now play the “Game of American Capitalism.”
At this point you must now leave your parents and begin providing for yourself. Remember, you have needs that must be met in order to survive. In order to obtain the things you need and want, you must begin making money immediately. To begin the game you must choose to become one of the following money players:
Non-Entrepreneur
Employee: Makes money by selling labor for a wage or salary.
Entrepreneur
Self-employed: Makes money by physically selling products and/or services.
Business owner: Makes money by hiring “workers” to sell products and/or services.
Capitalist: Makes money by owning, buying and selling assets.
Once you have chosen a player you must do whatever you can to begin accumulating money and other assets. Assets are anything valuable that you own. The person who has accumulated more assets than needed, has good health, does not work for money, has given back to the community, and is at peace with GOD, family and him/herself, wins in the “Game of American Capitalism.”
